Day 3:
Flowers in My Hair
Two days after we tracked this song, I was doing a photoshoot on the side of the freeway, outside the famous Froggy’s, in Topanga Canyon, on a very strange day.
—
All of a sudden this woman appeared seemingly out of nowhere. She looked straight out of the Manson cult, but told me her name was Moonshine, and she ran a successful rock n’ roll themed yoga clothing brand. We traded Instagrams and then the photographer called me over for a second. I looked back and she had vanished, she wasn’t on the horizon, driving away, truly vanished. It’s maybe the most “LA” thing that’s happened to me.
—
After that stop we drove through Malibu, and played “Flowers” in the rental car for the first time. While it was playing I found a ladybug on the seat next to me.
The Acoustic Version
Found nowhere else but here. An acoustic version, performed specially for you.

“The second hand of the clock stops moving when you’re gone, you move time, you move hearts, you move mine”
Lyrics
“Flowers in my Hair”
The water is sparkling and I wanna jump in
I’m just waiting for the go ahead
Little ladybug takes a rest on your shoulder
Try to take your picture and you turn red
If you ever need any help from me
I will fix whatever is wrong
You’re always worth my time, baby, hit my line
And I’ll be there with bells on and
Flowers in my hair
Flowers in my hair
When the summer’s over
Tell me you’ll still care
Tell me does my smile
Light you up like yours does mine?
Cause honey child it floors me everytime
Just tell me when and where
I promise I’ll be there
With flowers in my hair
I can’t stop shivering though it’s 90 degrees
You say, “baby, you’re shaking like a leaf”
And I’m all out of words to string into phrases
To tell you what you mean to me
And how I just can’t stand it, the second hand
Of the clock stops moving when you’re gone
You move time, you move hearts, you move mine, and that’s why
I spend my days singing love songs with
Flowers in my hair
Flowers in my hair
When the summer’s over
Tell me you’ll still care
Tell me does my smile
Light you up like yours does mine?
Cause honey child it floors me everytime
Just tell me when and where
I promise I’ll be there
With flowers in my hair
Tell me why must we struggle
To show all the love beating in our hearts?
Tell me why can’t I tell you
You had me from the start
You had me from the start
So if you ever need any help from me
I will fix whatever is wrong
You’re always worth my time, baby, hit my line
And I’ll be there with bells on and
Flowers in my hair
Flowers in my hair
When the summer’s over
Tell me you’ll still care
Tell me does my smile
Light you up like yours does mine?
Cause honey child it floors me everytime
Just tell me when and where
I promise I’ll be there
With flowers in my hair
Just tell me when and where
I promise I’ll be there
With flowers in my hair
